Eight domains, plus Driverless, new for 2027. Each one owns a piece of the car. Scroll, and watch the car build itself one domain at a time.
The backbone of the car. Chassis designs and builds the steel frame that keeps the driver safe and holds every other part of the car together.
How the car moves. They set up the suspension, steering and tyres so the car grips, turns and feels right in the driver’s hands.
Stopping power. They make sure the car stops hard and straight every single time, and that it passes the brake test at scrutineering.
The heart of the car. They choose, mount and tune the electric motor and its controller, turning stored energy into speed.
From motor to wheels. They carry the motor’s torque to the rear wheels through the gearing, the differential and the drive shafts.
The nervous system. They build the battery pack, the wiring and every safety circuit, on both the high-voltage and low-voltage sides.
The car’s memory. They add the sensors and the dashboard that show the driver and the team what the car is doing.
The shape you see. They design and make the nose, sidepods and body panels, and guide the air where the car needs it.
Our newest domain. They’re working on teaching the car to see the track, plan its own line and drive itself.
